2022 Berry Street Essay Response
At the 2022 UUA General Assembly in Portland, Oregon, I was invited to give a response to that year’s Berry Street Essay. My beloved friend The Rev. Mykal Slack gave an essay titled More Faith, Power, and People: Breaking the Cycles That Separate Us From Unitarian Universalism, and I was one of four respondents at the end of the essay.
2019 Starr King President’s Lecture
In 2019 I was invited to speak as a panelist at Starr King School for the Ministry’s President’s Lecture, along with Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt , Rev. Kimberly Hampton, and Dr. Mtangulizi Sanyika. The lecture commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Walkout/Exodus at General Assembly in Boston in 1969.
Calvary Lenten Series Dialogues
In April 0f 2022 I collaborated with my beloved friend, Rabbi Micah Greenstein of Temple Israel in Memphis, to create two different events for the legendary Lenten Preaching Series at Calvary Episcopal Church. Micah and I wrote and gave a sermon together and we also participated in a facilitated conversation with Calvary’s rector, The Rev. Scott Walters.
Minns Lecture Response
